Dear Mr. Goodlin:

Thank you for your letter dated August 12, 1996, to Mr. Daniel S. Goldin, NASA Administrator. You requested a response from Mr. Goldin to your letter dated July 9, 1996. Unfortunately, we have no record of receiving that letter.

The overarching goal of NASA's Aeronautics Enterprise is pioneering the identification, development, verification, and commercialization of high-payoff aeronautical technologies. If your letter related to participation in NASA's aeronautics research program, I will refer you to our letter of May 5, 1995. Requests and questions beyond the research program are not within the scope of NASA's Office of Aeronautics responsibility and authority, and we will not be able to provide you with a satisfactory answer.
